The GTField app is a comprehensive tool tailored for iPhone and iPad users, aimed at enhancing field research and data collection. It facilitates seamless connectivity to geospatial data shared through GeoServer, while enabling users to access and display maps along with various data formats such as GPX, KML, and GeoJSON. The app offers essential features for route recording, landmark marking, and adding custom attributes to photos taken with GPS coordinates, making it a valuable resource for fieldwork.

Functions of the Maps View Module:

• Real-time display of the user's location on the map.
• Access to various Google Maps views including worldwide roadmap, satellite, and terrain data for high-resolution backdrop mapping.
• Integration with GeoServer's Geodatabase to visualize geospatial data alongside the device's built-in GPS.
• Support for offline maps, conserving internet bandwidth during field or maritime research.
• Display of waypoints and tracks for navigation in forested or maritime environments.
• Visualization of geo-tagged images on the map.

Tools of the Maps View Module:

• Search functionality for natural sites and addresses to assist preliminary area research.
• Access to archived information.
• Ability to download and share geospatial data from GeoServer for offline use.
• Recording of reference markers and routes to aid in field navigation.
• Support for coordinate reference systems and datum transformation.
• Capability to open GPX files from handheld GPS devices.
• Options to export collected data in GPX format to Google Earth and GIS software.

Functions of the Camera Module:

• Facilitation of geo-tagged photography utilizing GPS information at the time of capture to create geo-tagged images.
• Name and description can be edited within the image file before exportation.
• Exportation of geo-tagged photo data in GPX format to Google Earth along with accompanying images.

Connectivity and Access to Resources:

• Input URL functionality for connection to GeoServer via internet or local Wi-Fi network on a PC.
• Access and listing of all map data layers from GeoServer.
• Select layers for displaying overlapping geospatial data on Google Maps.
• Access attribute information by interacting with the map layer elements.

In-App Purchase Information:

1. Payments are billed through the iTunes account upon confirmation of purchase.
2. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is disabled at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
3. The account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period, including notification of renewal costs.
4. Users can manage subscriptions and disable auto-renewal via their Account Settings post-purchase.
5. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when subscribing, where applicable.
